- Check sump pump to make sure it’s operating properly
- Check for failing caulk around exterior windows and doors
- Change batteries in smoke detectors and CO detectors
- Clean exterior dryer vent
- Clear debris from around outside HVAC equipment and vents
- Clear downspouts of debris
- Lubricate garage door
- Test garage door function including safety sensors
- Turn on/off outdoor hose bibs
- Vacuum registers and vents
- Check and test all ground-fault circuit interrupters
